LOUISEHØJ: A carefully restored, exclusive gem at Koldingfjord

In the middle of September, the restoration of the 100-year old chief physician's residence, Louisehøj by Koldingfjord will be finished. The beautiful, old house with the stunning view over the fjord will be furnished with, among other things, an entirely new type of meeting facility and with Louisehøj, Holding Koldingfjord will have a gem that can house exclusive events, the equal of which is rarely found other places in Denmark.

Hotel Koldingfjord was built in 1911 as Denmark's first Christmas seal sanatorium, but already in 1909, the chief physician's residence, Louisehøj, was completed. Through it's 100-year history, the elegant house has led a somewhat turbulent life, but in the middle of September, Hotel Koldingfjord will be ready to open the house for exclusive events after it has been through careful restoration from the cellar to the attic. "We have felt an obligation to look after the beautiful house and at the same time we realised that the house gave us the opportunity to offer exclusive events and meetings where you can work completely undisturbed in private settings and with your own entrance and garden. This is where you can be secluded, also if confidentiality and discretion are important parameters," says Managing Director, Peder J. Madsen, Hotel Koldingfjord.

"Therefore, we have invested in the best regarding the meeting facilities and the house's decoration and furnishing. Naturally, there is an ultramodern kitchen so the guests at Louisehøj can also enjoy lunch or dinner here. When you rent Louisehøj, your own waiter and chef is part of the package," he continues. "Even though we have a recession, not everything needs to come to a standstill. We have chosen to invest in the restoration and modernisation of Louisehøj and we have consciously chosen the exclusive solution," concludes Peder J. Madsen.
